Kurashiki

On the second day, we walked around Kurashiki's historic district.


There are many sotrehouses from Edo period alongside of the canal.
















Monochrome and sepia suit this historic town.

Tomonoura

The second night of our short trip to Okayama, we stayed in Tomonoura, a small fishermen's village situated on Setonaikai (Inland Sea of Japan).













The dinner we ate at the hotell restaurant was very beautiful and delicious.







The next morning, we walked around an old town area.










　

Fukiya Furusato Mura

After Tomonoura, we drove back to Okayama and visited Fukiya village,
there Bengara-colored houses from Edo-era are preserved.











You can go inside and look the fine architecture and the old furniture in some houses.






Hirokane-tei, which was a village headman's house, is an enormous mansion with long stone wall like castle.









Before leaving for home, we visited Bengara-kan museum, there you can see how to make Bengara.










　

Mimurotoji

One month ago, we visited Mimurotoji-temple, which is famous for flowers like azaleas and hydrangeas.





But azaleas had already been over...


and hydrangeas buds were still hard...





Fresh green of maple was beautiful





In summer lotus flowers bloom (maybe in bloom now.)





Some rhododendrons are in bloom.








There was also a rock garden there.





I ate a green tea icecream parfait! So delicious
