Just after taking off I saw something in the sea.
Do you know what they are?

They are windmills !!!

Over Germany clouds began to appear.

Cherry blossoms in Göteborg has just begun to bloom.

But these trees are already in full bloom.

The flowers are very similar to cherry blossoms, but they are not cherry trees.
What are they??
Maybe apples...

My husband and I went to Göteborg in Sweden to visit his mother.

In Geneva the cherry blossoms had already been in full bloom,
but in Göteobrg the buds were still tight.

The buds biginning to open always remind me the following poem by Swedish poet, Karin Boye.

Ja visst gör det ont när knoppar brister.
Varför skulle annars våren tveka?
Varför skulle all vår heta längtan
bindas i det frusna bitterbleka?
Höljet var ju knoppen hela vintern.
Vad är det för nytt, som tär och spränger?
Ja visst gör det ont när knoppar brister,
ont för det som växer
och det som stänger.

(English translation)
Of course it hurts when buds burst.
Otherwise why would spring hesitate?
Why would all our fervent longing
be bound in the frozen bitter haze?
The bud was the casing all winter.
What is this new thing, which consumes and bursts?
Of course it hurts when buds burst,
pain for that which grows
and for that which envelops.

You can find the whole poem in Swedish here, and in English here.
